If I got stretch marks on my hips so easily during puberty, will I mark dreadfully during pregnancy?
Q. I am a naturally thin, 21yr old female who has had minor stretch marks on my hips since they grew when i was around 16yrs [I was very tiny, & I assume that the rapid growth during puberty must have caused these stretch marks]. I am just wondering, do you think that my skin is prone to stretch marks, & if I ever have kids will I be one of those poor women with heaps of unsightly stretch marks on their stomachs? Anyone with first hand experience???

A. thats a good question, sounds like my situation- thin, stretch marks around hips (and nowhere else). i wonder that too. i think it's probably just a random thing and we wont know until we get pregnant.

How do you cope with stretch marks?
Q. im a teenager and have heaps of stretch marks!I'm in the normal height and weight range for my age. I always read in magazines that most teenagers get them but whenever I see my friends in underwear or swimmers they all have really good bodies with no marks at all even my overweight friends! It makes me really self consious and I know you cant get rid of them completely but I was wondering what everyone else did to cope with them?

A. When I was in high school I had a gf who was 17 and had them. Didn't stop me from burying the bone in the least. At the onset of puberty estrogen causes females to store fat in their hips thighs butt and boobs as energy stores to get them through a pregnancy, and that can lead to stretch marks. It's not a big deal. If a girl ever mentions them I offer to apply some of my own special cream to them if she'd like. I've gotten lots of laughs and a few takers.

How can I get rid of extra skin all over my body?
Q. I made a life style change and lost 4 pounds per a week, that wasn't really intentional it just happened. Now I am skinny but I have ALOT of this extra skin all over my body. It's been months and it's not shrinking back. I do have a heap loads of stretch marks, could that be the reason why it's not shrinking? What can I do to fix this?

A. Go to a cosmetic surgeon for a consultation. You don't say how much weight you have lost. If it is a great deal the skin has lost it's elasticity and only surgery will help.

Todd Heap or Dustin Keller?
Q. Ok last week I'm made a game time decision to sit Keller and start Jeremy Shocky mainly because Shockey has a veterin QB Drew Bress throwing to him when Keller has an in experienced Mark Sanchez under center, and it turned out to be the right decision as Shocky scored 2 touchdowns and racked me 15 points when Keller only had nine points I believe. but now Shocky is hurt and although he still has a chance of playing i don't know for sure if he will and I still don't trust Keller with Sanchez as his QB and there up against new england. but I realized today that Todd heap who had a great game last week is free. should I drop Keller and pick Heap up? What do you think? o and sorry about the I'm made typo at the beginning

A. Truthfully I would go with Dustin keller. The guy led the jets in the preseason in both receiving yds and receptions. CBS fantasy sports ranks him as a top 6 TE and he had like 90 yds receiving week 1. That's good for a TE. Oh yeah, having a rookie qb in this case actually helps because he's afraid to go downfield and plays conservatively so he looks for his TE often.

What does the song "Hide And Seek" by Imogen Heap Mean?
Q. Hide And Seek Lyrics (Imogen Heap) Imogen Heap - Hide And Seek Lyrics Where are we? What the hell is going on? The dust has only just begun to fall, Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling. Spin me round again and rub my eyes. This can't be happening. When busy streets a mess with people would stop to hold their heads heavy. Hide and seek. Trains and sewing machines. All those years they were here first. Oily marks appear on walls Where pleasure moments hung before. The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this still life. Hide and seek. Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here) Blood and tears, They were here first. Mmm, what you say? Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did. Mmm, what you… [cont.]

Does anyone remember a kids TV programme in the mid 90s on ITV called The Geeks? Am I imagining it?!?
Q. It used to feature pop bands and a man and a woman who played bratty teenagers (I think Ronni Ancona played the girl) and they had a butler (who may have been played by Mark Heap?). I can't find any trace of it online and have searched imdb.com.

Q. I'm relatively tall, and have an average ability at dribbling, passing and shooting. I'm very good at intercepting and marking my player, as long as they aren't heaps taller than me. How can I get rid of cellulite?
Q. I've tried creams, but I don't know how long to use it for (no it doesn't say it on the bottle). I've tried eating healthy, fitness. What else? A. You didn't say how old you are. In any case, loosing weight fast doesn't allow your skin time to adjust. cellulite can shrink, it's just fat like any other. If it is really stubborn consider cosmetic surgery, same for the stretch marks. Creams don't work.

Who do I start? Mark Clayton @ San Diego or L. Coles @ Green Bay?
Q. Consider.. Clayton had a TD and 77recyds in 5 receptions last week but they have a tough matchup @ SD. Clayton may still be behind the 8 ball with Flacco looking at Mason, Heap, and Rice as his other options. Coles only caught one pass for 11yds against Denver last week but he's a No. 2 behind Ocho, with potential to get more looks from Palmer if GB decides to go from their standard 3-4 look to filling the box to stop the run game on Ced Benson. GB defense ranked 14th, SD ranked 6th... Your incites? 10 man league. Non-PPR league.

A. Col es dropped three balls last week too. I would expect him to play better this week, plus I think Cincy may be down a ton of points, so they may abandon the run game early. Flacco isn't going to air it out against the Chargers, they will run the ball and try to limit the Chargers offense from being on the field.

A. You can try to buy it online. I know you can buy pharmaceutical products on Amazon. Also, I use a site called drugstore.com, but it doesn't work for New Zealand. You could look for one that caters to your area.

Who makes Moda Vera yarns and where can I get patterns for it? (Specifically children's clothes.)?
Q. I bought some gorgeous Moda Vera Sentiments yarn (a kind of mohair blend) from Spotlight, intending to knit a jumper or cardigan for my 2 year old daughter. Unfortunately Spotlight stock the wool, but no patterns for it, and the wool isn't marked to show what ply it is. When I contacted Spotlight for help, they could only give me a generic pattern for an adult's shrug! Does anyone know who manufactures the Moda Vera range? I figure if I contact them, they might be able to help. Does anyone know what ply this yarn is? Does anyone have a suitable pattern they'd be prepared to share? Thanks heaps!

A. Moda Vera yarn is a 50/50 mohair/acrylic yarn made exclusively for Spotlight stores in Australia: I believe it's 8-ply. The only patterns designed specifically for Sentiments yarn are two wraps (both PDFs): knit crochet The patterns call for 7mm knitting needles and a 4mm crochet hook but do not give the gauge (aka tension) and don't give the dimensions of the finished shrugs. You can substitute this yarn in any pattern -- if you can get the specified gauge & the correct drape. How to knit a gauge swatch: There are literally hundreds of cute sweater patterns for a two-year-old. Here are just a few. (Or you can find lots of great knitting books at your local library.) Cardigan (PDF) Pullover (aka jumper)
